Not to miss Victoria’s centrepiece: miniature copy of the London “Big Ben” erected in 1903 as a memorial after the passing of the Queen Victoria. For nature enthusiasts: visit located in the hills of Anse Royale in the south of Mahe, Jardin du Roi - home to various spices such as nutmeg, black pepper and cinnamon, altogether somewhat more that 300 different spices, medicinal and fruit plants.

Cup of tea, hot or cold, best enjoyed at the only Tea Tavern, with a spectacular view of the western parts of the main island.

Not to miss Ruins of Venn’s Town, otherwise known as Mission Lodge, - a place of unique historical and cultural heritage.

In March 1876, Venn’s Town, - the first educational institution for the children of liberated slaves was the beginning of a new era in the life of people who has been captured and oppressed. The large numbers of freed Africans had a great impact on Seychelles in the formation of the Creole Seychellois identity and it gave birth to subsequent civilisation.
