Denis private island
Tropical Sanctuary for body & mind
Denis Private Island is a natural gem surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Powdery-white beaches, pristine reefs, lush vegetation and the subtle elegance of private cottages nestled few steps from the beach will entice you, as will the outstanding food and exceptional service of this tropical sanctuary.
Disconnect from the outer world to reconnect to your loved ones and primordial nature of the island. This digital detox is easily achieved as mobile phone reception as well as cable TV and in-room internet aren’t available.
Conservation and sustainability drive everything that takes place on the Island. Green Islands Foundation (GIF) is an environmental NGO with a permanent presence on the island that runs a variety of conservation programmes. One of Denis' most significant environmental achievements has been the translocation of some of Seychelles' rarest endemic birds (such as Seychelles Black Paradise Flycatcher and Seychelles magpie robin).
Denis Private Island is located about 95 kilometers north of Mahé,
30 minutes light aircraft flight from Mahe, private helicopter or plane charter available upon request.

Highlights
Organic cuisine and the farm-to-table concept (homemade dairy products, farm-fresh meat and eggs, island-grown fruits and vegetables) will enrich your culinary experience.
Sustainability - as the core value of the Island's community. All of the hotel's wood floors, as well as the majority of the furnishings in the cottages, lobby, and restaurant, are provided by the hotel's self-sustaining lumber mill and carpentry workshop.
You will not regret if you take an Island tour to glimpse some of the world's rarest endemic birds, giant tortoises and sea turtles.
Pristine reefs teeming with white-tip sharks, turtles, rays and tropical reef fish provide year-round outstanding diving experience. Whale sharks and manta rays can be spotted from September until mid-November. There are 9 coral diving sites ranging in depth from 5 to 35 meters, each offering a unique ocean perspective.
Even if fishing is not your passion, you should give it a try in this tropical paradise. Denis is renowned for its abundance and diversity of big game, and ranks as one of the top sailfish destinations in the world year after year. In addition to trolling for marlin, sailfish, dorado, tuna and wahoo, fishermen can also try their hand at bottom-fishing for snapper and grouper, with a traditional hand-line.
The children will be excited to explore the Island’s Farm, pet the animals or collect farm fresh eggs in the morning.
